Nicolette Mason x ModCloth is Heaven for All Sizes

by Erin Mayer

Big news! Columnist, blogger, and all-around fabulous fashionista Nicolette Mason has designed a collection for ModCloth. This isn't your average collaboration either — instead of creating a "straight" size or a "plus-size" line, Mason's designs will be available in x-small through 4X. Told you this was big!

Nicolette is the author behind Marie Claire 's "Big Girl in a Skinny World" column. She also runs Nicolette Mason, a style blog. One look at her homepage and you'll see that she has serious styling chops. Her latest post includes an adorable spiderweb ring that is now front and center on my accessories wishlist. Long story short, your wardrobe is in good hands with Mason.

Mason is also a curvy lady and with ModCloth's recent expansion to include sizes up to 4x, it makes perfect sense to have her design a line for the retailer. What's really amazing is the fact that Mason's collection will have the same items of clothing available in the full range of sizes. Even in 2014, this is extremely rare. Most plus-sized collections are either entirely different than the so-called "straight" size ranges or offer only select styles that are the same. A collection like Mason for ModCloth is totally necessary.

The 11-piece collection debuting on October 6th (I know, so close but so far) is inspired by "the concept of an all-girl gang, and offers a contemporary take on classic designs that will appeal to both the rocker and refined alike," according to Refinery29.

The vintagey looks are SO ModCloth with tons of buttoned up blouses and nipped-in waistlines. My personal favorites are a pair of black trousers with with piping, a pink and black polka-dot dress that looks like a 1950's prom frock, and a black tulle skirt, but really the whole collection is fab! Check out Mason and ModCloth co-creator and chief creative officer Susan Gregg Koger in a few of the looks to get you even more excited.
