French Montana's New Song "R&B Chicks" Is Awful

by Kenya Foy

As if anyone needed another reason to side-eye Khloé Kardashian's relationship with French Montana, his new song "R&B Chicks" won't do much to help the rapper sell himself as a considerable upgrade from Lamar Odom. The song basically features Montana name-dropping all the R&B singers he dreams of bedding, including Rihanna and Miley Cyrus. Ugh. Honestly, these are the types of dreams Montana should've kept to himself.

Of all the gripes I have with this song, the most trivial of them lies with the fact that Rihanna and Miley don't fall under the rhythm and blues category, but whatever. That glaring factual error pales in comparison to the juvenile nature of a guy rapping about all the women he wants to sleep with. For those who are interested, Montana's list also includes Kelly Rowland, Ashanti and Mary J. Blige, among others. Just... wow.

Obviously, there's a line around the block lengthening by the minute, filled with men hoping to have a shot with pretty much all of the women Montana named in his song, but someone needs to put a stop to these wet dreams in ode form. It's like listening to a seventh grader whose bedroom walls are filled with posters of his celebrity crushes, only Montana's not a junior high student and instead of poster-filled walls, his crushes are subjected to "honorable" mentions in an awful song.

Hopefully Kardashian was nowhere around when Montana recorded this tune. As his girlfriend and someone who has a little more experience being in the public eye, perhaps she could've advised him against recording this tragedy. It wouldn't be the first time a celebrity schooled Montana on the ins and outs of not coming off like a jerk. Kardashian claims Montana makes her happy, but this misogynistic song definitely shouldn't.
