Ladies Fashion at the 'Masters of Sex' TCA Event

by Rosie Narasaki

Freshman critical hit (count those acting Emmy noms, YEAH!) Masters of Sex returned for its second season this weekend, and they're already gearing up for more press by taking part in TCA '14 (that's Television Critics Association, not Teen Choice Awards, by the way). Wednesday marked their TCA set visit, which lead to a panel/party — which in turn lead to some truly great, red carpet-worthy ensembles.

Like mid-century masterpiece Mad Men before it, Masters of Sex has a lot of oomph in the costuming department — Gini and Libby in particular have some quite enviable looks, and the show has become known for its lush, turn-of-the century stylings. That said, we have to give credit where credit is due when it comes to the actors for their off-screen style as well. The recently Emmy-nominated Lizzy Caplan in particular has trotted out some great red carpet looks over the past few years, and the model-esque Caitlin FitzGerald is also known for her good taste (perhaps most notable, was her 2014 Golden Globes Emilia Wickstead gown, which Tom & Lorenzo deemed "SO CHIC WE CAN'T FUCKING STAND IT").

The whole cast definitely had a very stylish presence at the event on Wednesday — let's take a look:

Caplan served up drama in this majorly color-blocked Roksanda gown. How awesome do those bright cobalt blue shoes look like the hot pink detailing on the bottom?

FitzGerald looked very midcentury indeed as she posed in her strapless houndstooth Michael Kors number alongside a pastel yellow vintage convertible. Quick, someone cast her in a Grace Kelly biopic!

Rose McIver

McIver took a bit of a fashion stumble in rumpled satin separates, but her faux Peter Pan collar and face look awesome!

Annaleigh Ashford

Ashford rocked a platinum pompadour, stripes (lots of them), and even statement-ier shoes than Caplan — gotta love a pop of hot pink!
