In case you haven't heard, there's going to be another Destiny's (grand)Child soon! Kelly Rowland is expecting her first child with husband Tim Witherspoon. In fact, she recently revealed the baby's gender in an accidental, yet awesome way. (In case you'd rather be surprised, you can click here to find out if it'll be a boy or girl!) In an interview with E!, Rowland discussed her pregnancy cravings, which involve sandwiches. Oh, no big deal, you may be thinking. She eats sandwiches like everybody else, right? Wrong. Eating sandwiches is so passé. She enjoys looking at them. Yup, just making a sandwich and staring at it.
She told E! News, "I love rye with turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions — the works. I like to make it myself then cut it open and just look at it." Wait, what? Yeah, sure, onions and tomatoes are pretty (...maybe). But hello, when you're hungry wouldn't you want to just eat it? Now I can't help but imagine Rowland sitting on her couch, scrolling through food Instagram accounts all day, smiling at turkey clubs. Or spending hours scouring Pinterest to find the perfect PB&J. Personally, I prefer to eat sandwiches, but I guess we all have our own hobbies.
But don't worry, Kelly! I won't force my own (more sensible) habits on you. I saved you some time and found the best looking sandwich photos for you to drool over.
Chicken Pesto
That is one beautiful sandwich.
The Ultimate Breakfast Sandwich
I would like one of these tomorrow morning. Please/thanks!
Green Goodness
AVOCADO. And lots of other yummy green stuff.
Roast Beef
Duh, chips! Can't forget about those.
Toasted Sub
This makes me very sad that the Quizno's near me closed.
Ice Cream Sammies
Shhh! These totally count as sandwiches.
The Waffle-wich
Very innovative. Why use bread when you can use waffles instead?
Turkey Club
Look at those perfectly cut triangles. Someone got an A+ in geometry.
Grilled Mac & Cheese
As Noah says in The Notebook, "I want all of you. Forever. Everyday."
Crispy Chicken
Who cares about clogged arteries? That sandwich seems worth it.
Baguettes
Why have one sandwich when you can have multiple sandwiches?
After all of that, I'm gonna have to disagree with Rowland. Sure, staring at sandwiches was somewhat satisfying. But it did not curb my hunger. If anything, I want one more than ever right now. Where's the closest Panera?
