Um, She's The Third Highest Earning Actress

by Casey Rackham

In the decade since Jennifer Aniston said goodbye to Friends and Brad Pitt in 2004, the topic of her well-being has consistently been a conversation starter at boring house parties. For some reason, whether it be because of her failed relationships or less-than films, people constantly think to themselves, "I hope Jennifer is doing okay." Well, according to Forbes' list of Hollywood's highest-paid actresses, everyone can STFU because Jennifer Aniston is doing ridiculously well in the financial department of her life: She's ranked third on the list with an estimated revenue of $31 million between June 2013 and June 2014. Add on the fact that she's in a serious relationship with The Leftover s ' well-endowed Justin Theroux, and her life seems pretty peachy.

Okay, wow. Considering that Aniston's claim to fame is none other than the 10 seasons of Friends from 1994 to 2004, it's pretty amazing that she's at the top of the list (right behind Jennifer Lawrence with $34 million and Sandra Bullock with a whopping $51 million in earnings). Sure, it makes total sense that she's raking in a ton of cash from Friends — I mean, repeats are on only every second of every day — but it's kind of funny that, for someone who's probably not considered one of the "it" actresses of 2013 or 2014, she was able to beat out other ladies on the list such as Angelina Jolie, Cameron Diaz, and Scarlett Johansson, who all have had a few roles under their wings as of late.

So how exactly is she making all of her money? Let's break it down:

Friends re-runs

Never doubt the power of syndication. Every time you watch an episode of Friends, you can smile knowing that Aniston is getting a little richer.

We're The Millers

According to Forbes, Aniston is often willing to cut her upfront pay for a movie and, instead, receive a portion of the profits that the movie ends up making. What a smarty-pants.

Endorsement work

Oh hai, Aveeno. As the spokesperson for big brands, Aniston is able to cash in on her reputation.

So does everyone finally get that Aniston is really doing okay?*

*I predict that this article will have absolutely no impact on Aniston fans, and that they will continue to question her well-being for the rest of eternity. Hey, at least I tried.
