Proof Ansel Has Won Us Over Completely

It may mark the beginning of the end of the summer, but the 2014 Teen Choice Awards deserves points for enthusiasm. It may just be the most enthusiastic awards show out there. This year, Teen Wolf star Tyler Posey and Modern Family star Sarah Hyland took the stage as hosts (one more ecstatic than the other), but they weren't onstage long before the awards rolled out.

After a rousing performance of "Really Don't Care" from Demi Lovato and Cher Lloyd (with a guest star spot but Lovato's rather loud Moschino leather jacket and harnessed jumpsuit, if we're being honest), Posey and Hyland deferred to Taylor Swift to get the awards underway. First Swifty made her requisite "I've got lots of drama in my past joke" before delving right into the night's first award. Naturally, Ansel Elgort beat out his competitors for Choice Dramatic Movie Actor, because if anything dominated the under-20 movie market for the past six months, its the movie that launched Elgort's mega fame: The Fault in Our Stars.

I'll keep rolling out the awards as the evening goes on, but for now, here's who walked away with a giant surfboard:
