Recently, Bustle's own Quinn Keaney posed that with Beyoncé and Jay Z seemingly headed towards divorce (I think it's all a scam and she'll announce her second pregnancy at the VMAs, but whatevs), the world's next big hip hop power couple would be Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa. Well, it appears we have some psychic abilities in this here office because the takeover is imminent. Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa posted wedding pictures on Instagram. What is the one thing we don't have from Beyoncé and Jay Z? Wedding pictures. (Showing footage during their concerts doesn't count.) This is like getting a new pope and, clearly, IT IS HAPPENING.
We already know that they have a cute kid (goodbye, Blue Ivy), cool celebrity friends (seeya, Gwyneth), and an awesome sense of style (until next time, hideous bedazzled outfit and pimp-tastic white suit), and now, we also know that their wedding was both gorgeous and quirky. It's like they took the part of their personalities that thought these outfits were a good idea and then went, "But it's a wedding, we also have to be classy."
Rose and Khalifa got married a year ago in the summer of 2013, so it makes sense that they're posting the wedding photos now as a way to celebrate their anniversary. The thing is, you don't have to share your private pictures with the world in order to mark this occasion, so there is only one true explanation: they are starting their power couple transition. The fact that it's their anniversary is simply a convenient excuse.
Rose captioned this one, "Today was the day we said our vows before God and our Family. I knew as soon as I met u, u were the one for me sweetheart. Happy 1 year anniversary @mistercap and many more to come." I love that he wore a purple jacket. Way to stay true to yourself, Wiz.
And here is Rose with her mother who is wearing what most people would consider a wedding dress, but which pales in comparison to Rose's giant lace explosion:
And Khalifa posted this one of Rose with the sweet caption, "Happy Anniversary beautiful. @muvarosebud."
Well played, Wiz and Amber. Well played.
