She's Not like a Regular Mom, She's a Cool Mom
Connie Britton has played some of television’s most memorable mothers on Nashville and Friday Night Lights, and it’s by no luck of the draw. She’s as open and honest about motherhood in her personal life as she is on screen. Britton is on the cover of the upcoming issue of Redbook magazine and E! got an exclusive preview of the interview in which Britton talks being a single mother in the entertainment industry. According to the Nashville star, "Everybody's working hard and doing the best they can—if you're a mom, there's that pressure, we all face it… I would never say that's worse for me because I'm an actor. I am actually 100 percent sure all moms feel that way."
Britton also opened up in the interview about raising her son on her own and her desire to find the right partner. "I would love to be doing this with a partner, and I want Eyob to have a father figure. But I also know that putting that kind of pressure on myself or on a relationship would be disastrous."
Right on, Connie. Not only would her fans agree with her balanced and realistic take on motherhood, so would Tami Taylor and Rayna Jaymes. Both characters are hard-working, determined women who have become two of the best female role models in recent television history. Here are some of Britton’s best on screen mom moments that show she’s admirable in her role as a mother both on television and in real life.
Rayna on keeping her kids out of the spotlight
"I've tried to keep my girls kinda low profile in terms of all that media stuff so if we can just avoid the tweets and selfies and all that, make it just us, just family."
Rayna Laying down this total mom rule
Tami Taylor's endless incredible advice
And totally blowing every mom dance out of the water
Lastly, just for good measure:
