In an unprecedented event, Justin Bieber doesn't want his picture taken. I know, it's hard to believe considering he's practically the king of selfies. Have you seen his Instagram? It's filled with Bieb selfies galore! In the past week alone, he's posted photos standing in front of an airplane, laying on a couch, and posing with Karl Lagerfeld. But TMZ reports that when he was at a bar in Rome, Justin Bieber demanded that no one take his photo. The site shared a video of the pop star grooving on the dance floor with a group of girls and then hopping on the microphone to make an announcement.
He eloquently told everybody, "Yo, guys. Please stop taking pictures of stuff. Just enjoy your night. Have some drinks, have some fun. Put your cameras down and have some fun."
Oh, Biebs! I'm shocked that you don't want the attention. But then again, he makes a pretty valid point. People do spend way too much time taking photos for Instagram when they're out. Instead of focusing so much on their phones, people should just focus on having fun. Even though I don't really think that's the message he was trying to convey, let's pretend it was, so that I can actually agree with him for once.
Seriously though, I do think that no one should take someone else's photo without their permission — paparazzi have a tendency to invade people's privacy. So I'll also agree with Bieber from that standpoint. It's just a bit ironic, since he's usually such a ham for the camera.
To prove how out of character this is for him, here's a round-up of some of his (many) Instagrams from the past few weeks:
Skateboarding
Tony Hawk, is that you? Oh, nevermind. It's just Bieber getting his skateboard on.
Legendary
(I'm referring to Karl Lagerfeld, obviously.)
Like Father, Like Son
Posing in front a plane. Not to be critical, but that first comment made me LOL with its accuracy... He does look a little constipated.
Posing in Paris
Sweet cheetah print. Why the hunched pose though? The constipated comment resonates here too. Such a pained expression. :(
Boat
I wonder if he sang that Lonely Island "I'm On A Boat" song before or after taking this photo.
Black & White
The classic B&W selfie shot.
Cruising
I could be wrong, but aren't you supposed to look at the road when driving those things?
#TBT
This is THE CUTEST. I'm not even a Belieber and I was tempted to make this my desktop background — that's how adorable it is!
So there you have it, Bieber definitely should be crowned Selfie King. He could give Kim Kardashian a run for her money if he made his own selfie book.
