Here's How to Get Ariana's Signature Makeup Look

by Miki Hayes

Although she's started rocking some new styles, it's not news that Ariana Grande loves a half-up 'do. In fact, it's pretty easy to tell what kinds of things Grande loves, because she sticks with them. For example: She's always in some five-inch heels, especially of the over-the-knee boot variety; she totally favors her left side; and don't even get me started on the cat ears. At least she's loyal. But a signature hairstyle, pose, and accessories are not all this petite powerhouse has— Ariana Grandealso has a signature makeup look.

That's right. In a world of celebs like Katy Perry and Rihanna, who constantly change their beauty looks, Grande keeps it relatively simple and stagnant. She tends to shy away from bold eyes and statement lips and sticks with a "goes with everything" makeup look that she, well, wears with everything. Grande opts for a flawless face with neutral cheeks, and she never has too much going on in the way of contouring and highlighting. She has softly filled-in brows and prefers a light brown smokey eye with some winged liner. And as for lips? The girl loves her some mauve. Sometimes she goes for a lighter nude, and sometimes it's a deeper rose, but she never strays too far from that dusty purple tone.

See what I mean? Here's how to get the look:

The Base

Start with your favorite foundation and concealer to get an even base. Then sweep on a natural, bronze-toned blush (I like NYX Mosaic Powder Blush in Truth), and lightly fill in brows. No extreme contouring and highlighting necessary. Easy, right?

The Details

For the eyes, dust a medium bronze all over the lid and a dark chocolate in the outer corner and through the crease (I used Dior Cuir Cannage). Add winged liner on the top lash line, fill in the waterline with a black liner, and finish off the look with your favorite mascara on your top and bottom lashes. As for lips? Opt for a neutral mauve shade like ColourPop's Lumiere. And of course, a half-up ponytail completes this look.
