16 Times We've All Felt Like Andy Dwyer

by Kelly Schremph

Out of all of the extremely memorable characters on NBC's hit sitcom Parks and Recreation, none of them can hold a candle to the way I feel about Chris Pratt's Andy Dwyer. I mean, remember when he just used to be Ann Perkins' lazy and downright terrible boyfriend? I used to not be able to stand the guy. But now, I can't imagine not having him in my life — which will prove to be quite the stressful situation soon considering that the Parks and Rec series finale is only a few weeks away. (*violently weeps into nearby pillow*) Yes, never has a TV character pulled such a complete 180 on my heart. And while some of that can definitely be chocked up to Pratt's overall on-screen charm, I'd be amiss if I didn't say that it also has to do with just how relatable Andy is overall.

Because, let's be honest here — there's definitely been more than a few moments throughout Parks and Rec's run where you've witnessed something Andy's done and thought to yourself, "Yup, been there." But trust me, that's nothing to be ashamed of. In fact, it's something we should all relish in, if you ask me. So in honor of this truly great character, here's a look back at all the times he's completely and utterly summed up how we've all felt at one point or another.

When He Decided to Just Totally Wing It

If I had a nickel for every time I've only pretended to know what I'm doing… well, let's just say I'd have a lot of nickels.

When He Used List to Make Important Life Choices

Because who hasn't wanted to live in Winterfell?

When All He Needed Was a Good Snuggle

The more cats, the better.

When He Couldn't Always Make Lemonade Out of Lemons

Because sometimes your day just sucks.

When Time Was Of the Essence

Every minutes counts.

When He Was Blown Away By Science

The human body is a miraculous thing.

When His Heartfelt Stories Were Pop Culture Related

A movie we can all stand to learn a lesson or two from.

When His Tech Skills Fell Short

That sounds almost as bad as a URL error.

When His Eating Etiquette Went Out the Window

No judgments here.

When He Out-Bullied Bullying

Nailed it.

When He Didn't Quite Understand Politics

'Murica.

When He Spoke From the Heart

I mean, who can argue with that?

When He Failed to Meet Deadlines

On more than one occasion.

When He Stepped Out of His Comfort Zone

Really makes you think, doesn't it?

When He Tried to Do Good…

But ended up doing the opposite.

When He Felt Lost, But Optimistic

We would all do well to remember that.
