Another Film You Haven't Seen to Get Sequel

by Alicia Lutes

Guillermo del Toro has a movie coming out. It's called Pacific Rim, and it stars some people you may have heard of before, like It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's Charlie Day and Sons of Anarchy's Charlie Hunnam. Even Idris Elba! So naturally, since the sci-fi action film has yet to even come out or have any critical buzz to speak of, sequel talk is already a-churning. Because of course it is!

Indeed, del Toro has already confirmed that he's discussing the idea of a sequel. He's in the planning stages, even. And not just for an additional Pacific Rim film, but a companion video game and graphic novel, too! All of the things! And why not? If a Hollywood big-hitter wants something, who are we to be total buttinskis and say, "No thanks, actually, we're good" or "Can we wait to see the first movie before making our decision?" In the immortal words of Sweet Brown, ain't nobody got time for that!

Because everything deserves a sequel, you guys. Who cares what the silly plebes that make up the viewing audience wants! Let's just give all of the sequels to all of the movies. No need for treatments, pitches, general demand or interest! Heck, who needs to even have a film in the first place? It's all about sequels. Sequels are the new black. Sequels are the new prequels. Sequels are the new movie. Sequels, sequels, sequels! All the live-long day! Everything is a sequel just waiting to happen. In fact, the sequel to this story is going to be made into a movie.
