As her condition remains grim, there have been a lot of rumors spread about Bobbi Kristina Brown's fate. Sources have claimed the family has debated removing her from life support, others have said her boyfriend is being looked into for abuse, and new reports from TMZ have claimed that her organs are shutting down. But one family member has spoken to People to clear up some of the rumors.
The unidentified family member told the magazine that there hasn't been any change in Bobbi Kristina's condition since she was discovered unconscious in a bathtub over two weeks ago. "There hasn't been a change in the past week. Nothing at all. It's not like her kidneys are shutting down or anything. There hasn't been any change."
As for reports that the family is angry with her boyfriend Nick Gordon, those might be more accurate. The source told People that Bobbi Kristina's partner has not been permitted to visit. "We don't talk about him. Bobby [Brown] doesn't mention him at all, ever. We're trying to give positive energy around Krissi, and Nick is not positive energy."
It's comforting to hear that while there hasn't been any change, at least Bobbi Kristina's organs aren't shutting down like some sites have been reporting. But it's worth noting that her father Bobby Brown isn't a fan of unidentified family members speaking to the press. He made a statement about such unauthorized sources on Feb. 13.
At this time it is requested that the media cease speaking with unauthorized members of the family. The integrity of the events that led to the hospitalization of Bobbi Kristina must remain uncompromised.
Various members of the family have provided media interviews, however, none of them are approved visitors to see Bobbi Kristina.
None of them have firsthand knowledge of Bobbi Kristina’s treatment and the medical staff at Emory University Hospital has not communicated with them.
So this People source could very well be one of those that he's discrediting. I think at this point it's safest to get our news only through official sources like Bobby Brown himself. We should ignore TMZ and the like who want to sensationalize the news to attract readers with these types of headlines, "Bobbi Kristina Organs Failing Just a Matter of Time," because that's about as insensitive as things can get.
There's a lot of misinformation flying around about Bobbi Kristina. So the best thing for everyone to do right now is to ignore it and focus on sending her positive energy, like that one family member suggested, and keep hoping that she can overcome this.
