Keira Needs These Michael van der Ham Dresses
Have you noticed that Keira Knightley's been favoring a certain designer lately? Besides her usual Chanel, Knightley has also been wearing an awful lot of up-and-coming British designer Michael van der Ham. She wore his gorgeous navy and black tulle polka dotted number when she was promoting Laggies at the Toronto International Film Festival (it was one of many ultra-fashionable dresses she wore during TIFF), and she recently made headlines wearing one of his dresses on and off the red carpet (she wore the dress to a BAFTA event, then out to lunch with her husband). Which brings me to this conclusion: Keira Knightley and Michael van der Ham are kind of the perfect match and if she knows what's good for her, she'll wear just about every single dress from his recent London Fashion Week show.
I mean, between her propensity towards wearing retro-romantic (with a scrappy twist) styles, and his propensity towards making them, it just makes sense. I could see her rocking almost every single outfit he sent down the runway, but here are some of the best looks I think would look fabulous on her:
This Navy Blue Gown
Very Downton Abbey, no?
This Ice Blue Shift
It's the perfect combination of '60s mod and 18th century baroque, with a touch of space age thrown in.
This Tea-Time Number
Does it get any more Keira Knightley than embellished sheer beige?
This Printed Gown
Just the right amount of deconstructed.
This Day Dress
Absolutely perfect for her next lunchtime jaunt, eh?
This Purple Stunner
Totally her style M.O.
This Flower Power Shift
Hey, Keira's been known to rock funky prints in the past.
What a wonderful runway presentation, right? I'm guessing we'll be seeing a lot of Michael van der Ham creations on the red carpet in the upcoming months. Fingers crossed!
