Carly Rae Jepsen just put out a new song, hot off the success off her first big hit, "Call Me Maybe." And when I say "hot off that success," what I really mean is — that song came out like three years ago, where has CRJ been all this time? As far back as June of 2013, Jepsen said she was working on her third studio album as a followup to Kiss, so it's been a long time coming. This new album was supposed to come out sometime at the beginning of last year, but it was pushed back later and later — until now it's 2015 and we still haven't gotten a release date. But we got the first song, at least, and it's a doozy! It's called "I Really Like You," it's super bouncy and fun, it's very similar to the vibe of her previous songs, and you should probably listen to it right away.
But I know what you're thinking — HOW??? With the amount of time it takes Jepsen to put out new work, surely it will be weeks or months before this song shows up on Spotify, where we can listen to it for free. But you'd be wrong, because the song is already available there now! It's almost like she felt bad for depriving us of new tunes for so long and decided to make our lives easier. Maybe we should give her Taylor Swift's number, to see if she can talk her into doing the same thing. Dare to dream.
So there it is, you guys! Listen to it for free to your heart's content on Spotify or YouTube, or, of course, you can also buy it on iTunes if you really really really like Jepsen as much as she really really really likes you. (It's a joke from this new song, you guys, keep up.)
