Tess Holliday's Unretouched 'Torrid' Campaign Photos Are An Ode To Positive Body Image
We first learned of plus size model Tess Holliday (formerly known as Tess Munster) back in January, when she became the first size 22 model to land a major modeling contract. It wasn't long before the body positive activist and #effyourbeautystandards pioneer scored her first large-scale gig with top-tier plus size brand Torrid. Now, Torrid released unretouched photos of Tess Holliday from their Spring 2015 campaign, proving that we are one step closer to the idea of showcasing beauty at every size.
The Spring look book shoot features Holliday showing off some pretty prints and flirty silhouettes that accentuate her girly side. It's pretty obvious from the photos that the highly buzzed about model feels totally comfortable in her own skin, and is proud to be putting her curvaceous figure on display in the fun designs.
How does she feel about her new partnership with the fashion line? "I've learned through modeling that there were so many options with clothing in the plus-size community, years ago we were really limited, but now with companies like Torrid and other brands there are so many options to shop for your body." E Online reported. She adds that plus-size fashion doesn't have to sacrifice sexy, skin bearing options, and in fact her favorite designs include "anything that shows my stomach off, [with] high slits — really, anything sexy."
She simply exudes confidence in front of the camera doesn't she? And to that I say — work it girl!
