'Avengers' Cast Praises RDJ For Charitable Act

by Alyse Whitney

You're probably still drying your tears after Robert Downey Jr. gave a 7-year-old a bionic arm replica of his Iron Man gear, and you're not the only one. The Avengers cast is also crying with joy — or at least that's how I imagine it — and praising RDJ for his incredible charitable work. A few of the Marvel universe superheroes tweeted their feelings today, including Chris Pratt (Star-Lord) saying, "Nice work, Tony Stark!" and Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk) adding, "I am so damn proud to know you. You are a super duper hero, pal." They're going to have to build a dam to stop this floodgate of happy tears now.

This isn't the first time that an Avenger has done something charitable. Memorably, Pratt and Chris Evans (Captain America) made a Super Bowl bet that ended with them both visiting hospitals dressed as their characters together, and they recently made a stop at the Seattle Children's Hospital just for fun. Either Marvel is really great at casting or all of these stars are just taking their method acting to the next level. Seriously, can we get these guys some actual superhero gear to wear every day? For now, we'll just have to be happy with watching them be super sweet with young fans and supporting each other on Twitter. That'll tide us over until the May 1 premiere of The Avengers: Age of Ultron .
