9 Celebs Who Give Awesome Answers To The Worst Qs

by Sofia Barrett-Ibarria

Ask Cate Blanchett about her movie. Ask her about her role. Do not ask the award-winning actress about her dress, her diet, or her cat on a leash. During the press junket for her new movie Cinderella, a clueless interviewer made the mistake of asking Blanchett one of the most ridiculous and weirdest questions of all time, and it had to do with the leashed cat Blanchett interacted with in the movie. "Serious question," he asked, "how were you able to get that cat to do what you wanted to on a leash? I try to put my girlfriend's cat on a leash, and it just never works for me."

Leading up to this point, it had been a weird interview with TV host Jonathan Hyla, who seemed intent on asking off-topic questions about Blanchett's drink of choice, for example. After Blanchett suggested they "start over" and get back to talking about the movie, Hyla asked about her on-screen cat. Blanchett was not pleased. "That's your f*cking question?" she answered.

The sad truth is that women in Hollywood seem to get asked ridiculous, invasive, and sexist questions like this one. All. The. Time. Sometimes though, terrible questions lead to to the best, most amazing responses of all time. Here are nine celebrity women who know how to handle the worst interview questions of all time:
