Marvel Creates A Menswear Capsule Collection

by Melanie Richtman

Holy smokes, Batman! This news is too good: Marvel has teamed up with Five Four, a subscription fashion service, to create a men’s clothing line. It’s not your typical superhero logo t-shirts, either. While there are obviously tees in the capsule collection, they’ve been designed with a cooler aesthetic, so grown men can wear them without looking like they’re eternally trapped in adolescence.

“Our designers really dug through the Marvel archives to find new ways to recreate the heritage and evolution behind the brand and its superheroes,” says Andres Izquieta, co-founder and CEO of Five Four in a press release. “We’re so excited for the opportunity to work with Marvel; the collections showcase some of our best designs to date.”

The Marvel x Five Four collection will be available on April 1, exclusively for Five Four subscribers, which costs $60 a month. But if you are not yet a subscriber, you can check out the collection at the Marvel pop-up store in the Lower East Side this weekend.

The best part about the collection? All of the advertisements feature the clothes on Marvel superhero lookalikes. So whether you’re into Marvel comics or not, you can at least admire the models who look like Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans wearing some pretty cool clothes.
