Kim Needs To Come Back For 'RHOBH' Season 6
Let's just cut to the chase, here: Kim Richards was the drama on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills this season. She fought with her sister, Kyle, non-stop, she actually got the relatively down-to-earth Lisa Rinna to throw a wine glass in a public restaurant, and, once again, her sobriety came into question. So, after all of that, we're left with one question: Will Kim return for Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills Season 6?
Kim's an OG Beverly Hills housewife, and that fact alone says a lot about her longevity on the show. It's not all that often that a Real Housewives veteran gets fired — more often than not, a housewife chooses to leave after a particularly tough season, a la Jill Zarin and Bethenny Frankel on RHONY. However, as we've learned from seasons and franchises of yore, the more drama you bring to the show, the harder the producers cling on to you (I see you, Brandi Glanville).
But Kim brings so much more than just the standard drama to the Housewives table. Just like Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga's drama on RHONJ, Kim brings the family element to the table. Her ongoing hot-and-cold relationship with Kyle is a huge source of tension for the show, and as sad as it sometimes is to watch a family fall apart, I can't help but be totally invested in their storyline. They're constantly accusing each other of lying, and have been basically since Season 1, and while I usually find myself siding with Kyle, there has to be some truth to what Kim's saying, or she wouldn't be so aggressive and adamant. Either way, I'd like to see some kind of resolution to this conflict, and Kim needs to come back for Season 6 for that to happen.
That said, as much as she hits below the belt, I'm really fascinated by this new aggressive side of Kim. Maybe it's a result of her newfound closeness with Brandi, or maybe it has something to do with her sobriety or her relationship with her cancer-stricken ex-husband Monty, but I kinda like this firecracker side of Kim. It's a pretty awesome combination of her silly, sassy self and someone who refuses to be a pushover anymore. While she's sort of the master of saying things she shouldn't, I'll be pretty disappointed if she doesn't come back for more.
Based on the recently released teaser for the RHOBH reunion, we can make a few assumptions about Kim's future on the show. She doesn't look like she's backing down in the fight with Lisa Rinna or with Kyle, and, if anything, it seems like she's turning more and more into a Brandi-type character. If the past few seasons of RHOBH have taught us anything, it's that people love an outspoken woman who says what's on her mind and isn't afraid to start drama, and that's exactly what Kim's been bringing to the table. Maybe this will have been her season of rebellion, and all will come to a happy end in Season 6? Only time will tell. That's why we need her back.
There's no official word just yet on what Kim has to say about her potential return to the show. There have been anonymous source stating that, now that Kim has found a friend in Brandi and doesn't need to rely so heavily on Kyle for support, she feels comfortable with the show. While those reports remain unconfirmed, they do make a certain amount of sense. It's been a running complaint of Kim's that Kyle doesn't support her, so having Brandi, who will inevitably a staple cast member for a long time coming, probably feels good for her. But that's just one woman's opinion.
Either way, Kim's got some serious unfinished business, and it'll take at least another season to air everything out. I'd hate for things to end unresolved, especially between Kyle and Kim.
