Unless you were, let's say, buried under a rock today then you should know about Jay Z's new musical venture, Tidal, the first ever artist-owned, global music platform. Think Spotify but better, cooler, and well-received by the music industry. More importantly, let's talk about the killer fashion ensembles worn by Beyonce, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj at the Tidal press conference. The co-owners stepped out for the PR action looking like the fierce, female powerhouses they are.
Let's start with the Queen, shall we? Bey looked Superbowl-stage ready as always in a high-waisted, romper-type getup with what appears to be a cut-out jacket draped over her shoulders, a la Kim Kardashian. Her signature curves (of the upper body variety) are draped in interwoven, black beads. You slay me, B.
While Beyonce was Sasha Fierce in her look, Rihanna dressed for success with a more business-esque outfit. Her look certainly channeled a late '80s version of singing icon Whitney Houston, with a blazer and an upswept 'do. Of course, it wouldn't be Riri without a little bare cleavage action and a dramatic, edgy lip color.
And then there's Nicki. Nicki Minaj wore a pink coat over a black, lingerie-like dress with uber sexy, high strappy heels.
While these ladies have different takes on business casual, they're all uber stylish #girlbosses. For Tidal to involve strong, leading women as co-owners from the jump is enough for me to go out and subscribe right now.
Way to go, Tidal. I hope your streaming is as beautiful as these lady boss looks.
