The B6-13 Investigation On 'Scandal' Is Heating Up But Will It Destroy Everything Before It's Done?
Scandal is a show known for it's twists and turns, and the twists are never tighter and the turns never more hair pin than when B6-13 is involved. And now that the Scandal investigation into B6-13 is heating up, it looks like things are about to go crazy. But will David Rosen's efforts to bring the super secret spy organization into the light succeed? And if they do, what will be the cost?
This week we found out that although it looked like Jake had turned on his former allies at Pope and Associates — and even might be willing to hurt Olivia — in fact he was just playing a part in order to protect the rest of them. And good thing, too, or else David Rosen would be dead. Again. (Seriously, if David Rosen is going to routinely get himself in over his head all the time, you'd think he'd invest in a little more self-defense training.)
But it isn't just that B6-13 tried to kill David. There's also the fact that Olivia's no-strings-attached lover showed up at her front door with her father. And if there's one thing that's certain, it's that whenever one of Olivia's parents gets involved, things are about to get insane.
Though if Eli Pope wanted to maybe stop sending agents in to sleep with his daughter, that might be cool. Just saying.
Based on the carnage we've already seen and the threats Eli Pope seems to be laying out in the promo for next week's episode, it seems clear that he is not about to let this investigation go forward unopposed. And when Eli Pope decides to oppose you, that is not a good day. The man has an army full of loyal spies and more dirt on the movers and shakers of the world than even Olivia Pope could hope to compete with. Plus, there's that thing where he's ruthless and cunning and was apparently serious when he decided Olivia wasn't his daughter anymore.
So does this investigation have a chance? After all, people have tried to take down B6-13 in the past. James got killed for it. Even the combined team effort of Olivia, Jake, and the president failed. So could David Rosen and his merry band of co-conspirators have a chance? And even if they succeed, will the collateral damage make it worth it?
We'll just have to wait and see.
