The #freethenipple campaign has just gotten possibly its biggest supporter to date. Madonna joined the #freethenipple campaign, with a stunning nude Instagram snap to complete her initiation.

As most of you probably know by now, the #freethenipple campaign is a social media movement protesting Instagram's nudity policies. The campaign is all about female empowerment, and over the past few months, it's gained momentum and plenty of celebrity followers in an effort to allow topless pictures on Instagram. Rihanna, Rumer Willis, and Miley Cyrus have openly declared their support, and now the Queen of Pop herself (no, not Taylor Swift) has decided to stand up against censorship.

The 56-year-old singer posted a picture to Instagram, with a nude image of herself (with her nipples censored) leaning up against a statute. The photo itself is beautiful, and she captioned it, "Why is it ok to show ass but not breasts? Drowning in the hypocrisy of social media #artforfreedom #UnapologeticbItch #rebelheart."

Though she joins a long list of advocates for the movement, the "Rebel Heart" singer is definitely the biggest name to support the campaign so far. And if Madonna can't help change Instagram's policies, then I sure as heck don't know who can.
