Proof 'Grace And Frankie' Is A Must-See

by Sofia Barrett-Ibarria

ICYMI: There's a new Netflix show coming you didn't know you needed, but will probably want to binge-watch for days regardless. From Friends co-creator Marta Kauffman and Howard J. Morris of Home Improvement, Netflix's new series Grace and Frankie stars Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda as two strong, smart, sensual women in their 70s who find themselves alone after their husbands — played by Martin Sheen and Sam Waterston — come out as gay, reveal their love for each other, and decide to get married. The entire first season is coming to Netflix on May 8, and if the promo trailer is any indication, Grace and Frankie is going to be hilarious.

The series reunites comedic duo Tomlin and Fonda, who starred together in the 1980 film 9 to 5, as they try to navigate being newly single ladies in an Odd Couple-esque friendship. The trailer sets up a classic unlikely friendship story: Grace drinks tea and is fancy, while Frankie eats Wheat Thins from the box, wears Ramones t-shirts, and is definitely more sloppy.Eventually though, the two become friends, bonding over wild, sensual bonfires, and liberal use of whipped topping. If you're sad and confused as to why Golden Girls isn't on Netflix and you need the hilarious wisdom of fabulous older ladies in your life, Grace and Frankie is here to heal you with laughter.

Here are the funniest moments from the Grace and Frankie trailer that will make you look forward to binge-watching the new series:

When Martin Sheen and Sam Waterston's characters come out to their colleagues:

Relationship status: Homosexual law and bed partners.

When Jane Fonda quietly sips her tea while Lily Tomlin eats Wheat Thins on the couch:

*Judging you*

Jane Fonda playing with her arm skin in the mirror:

Don't stress, Jane Fonda. You're perfect.

Jane Fonda twerking while Lily Tomlin plays a dainty flute:

They have themselves an impromptu bonfire/makeshift Burning Man.

When Lily Tomlin feeds Jane Fonda a can of whipped cream:

The only real way to eat whipped cream is from a can.

A self-aware joke about Grace's plastic surgeries:

That also references Jane Fonda's real-life plastic surgeries.

When Jane Fonda refuses to care what you think about her plastic surgery:

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
