Blake Lively Gives James Three Godmothers

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants fans can't get enough of the real-life friendship between Blake Lively, America Ferrera, Alexis Bledel, and Amber Tamblyn. For those unaware, the co-stars of the film based on the popular books written by Ann Brashares have been best friends ever since the first film was released in 2005. That makes all of us Traveling Pants fans super happy. So, seeing as Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds had a baby that means Bledel, Ferrera, and Tamblyn are the baby's godmothers, right? That's exactly what that means.

(Update: Blake Lively confirmed that her Sisterhood co-stars are not actually her baby's godmothers. She told E! News that James' godmother is actually her sister, Robyn.)

In an interview with VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live, Tamblyn confirmed to host Nick Lachey that Lively named her Sisterhood co-stars godmothers of her daughter, James. Lachey asked the actress, "You're still very close with your... co-stars and the three of you are godmothers to Blake Lively's baby — is that a fact?" In turn, Tamblyn responded and even caused the audience to cheer. She said, "Yes, that is a fact."

How adorable is that? It's so great that these four women who played fictional friends are still super close and can even celebrate in life's special moments. As Ferrera once told Meredith Vieira, "They’re my girls, three of my best friends to this day. I was 20 when I met them, I am 30 now and they are still three of my best friends and supporters. Why I love that movie so much was at that time there wasn’t a lot of sisterhood and stories of young girls being supportive of each other."

Now, seeing as they are, in fact, James' godmothers that means we have a new Sisterhood movie on our hands — one called Godmothers of the Traveling Pants. Of course, that's not true, but it'd make a great film, and one fans would totally watch. You know, there is a third Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants in the works, so maybe it will be about them being godmothers to Lively and Reynolds daughter? Or, maybe they'll just create a new movie around their real-life friendship and experiences as godmothers.

That sure sounds like a great plot, doesn't it?
