Will & Kevin Shared One Steamy Kiss On 'Nashville'

I don't think any of us were prepared to feel the feels that were felt when Will and Kevin kissed on Nashville , especially since the show has been teasing at a relationship between these two characters for weeks. When they first met they totally got off on the wrong foot, with Will acting super ornery and defensive when songwriter Kevin Bicks (played by Broadway hunk Kyle Dean Massey) came over to work on a song with him. They ended up pushing through it and making a great song anyway, but even then they seemed to be off to a rocky start. Then in this week's new episode, after Will invited Kevin to go see a show with him, Kevin unexpectedly show up at Will's door later in the night. Feelings were confessed, a kiss was had, and all of us fangirl'ed like nobody's business.

If this works out, it could be awesome on so many levels for Will, who has been notoriously unlucky in love. In the last year or so, he's not only had to untangle his unfortunate marriage to Layla, but also dealt with harassment and violence against him for pursuing a relationship with another man. He is still very determined to keep his sexuality out of the public eye, which is understandable given all he has been through. I hope, though, that this kiss could possibly lead to a relationship where Will feels a lot more comfortable with his sexuality, and finally finds somebody who can relate to exactly what he is going through.

There's really no saying what's in store for this pair, because Nashville is full of surprises, but I'm at least relieved that they've finally confessed their attraction to each other. It's been building up for weeks and pretty much driving everyone insane. Fingers crossed that this might be the happy ending Will fully deserves.
