Mary-Kate & Ashley Speak Out On 'Fuller House'

by Kaitlin Reilly

We might see another familiar face on this '90s sitcom spinoff after all. After it was announced that Netflix would stream a Full House spinoff, Fuller House, for 13-episodes in 2016, fans freaked out over which cast members might return for more Tanner family shenanigans. The former Kimmy, D.J., and Stephanie (a.k.a. Andrea Barber, Candace Cameron-Bure, and Jodie Sweetin, respectively) will star on the new series as grown-up versions of their characters, and John Stamos has confirmed in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel that he's heavily involved in the new project. According to Lori Loughlin, the rest of the cast is in negotiations to reprise their roles, with the exception of two: Specifically, Loughlin stated that she didn't think Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen would be in Fuller House. But, now, the Olsen twins are speaking up — and miraculously, they're talking about how that's not exactly the case.

In a recent interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Mary-Kate and Ashley both insisted that they're not against appearing on the new series — just that they didn't know it was even happening. Mary-Kate stated:

We just found out about it... I guess we’re going to talk to the creators and see what’s happening.

AHH. EVERYTHING IS HAPPENING. Even better, Ashley agreed!

I ran into Bob [Saget] the other day and we didn’t even talk about it... I’m going to call [Saget] and get his perspective.

So... did Mary-Kate and Ashley just confirm that they're down for Fuller House? It certainly seems like that's what they're saying. (Even though, I guess technically, the show would only need one of them since they're adults...but whatever.) Though the girls are frequently absent from many Full House reunions and have mostly stayed out of the acting game to pursue their fashion careers, even they aren't immune to the Full House nostalgia. I'm thrilled — I desperately want to know what Michelle Tanner has been up to since her last season of Full House. Here are some predictions:

She Moved To New York City

It would explain her brief guest spot on Fuller House — she could return home for the holidays, or to support her older sis' DJ in her time of need.

She Was A Women's Studies Major

As inspired by Danny Tanner's amazingly feminist speeches.

She Became A Motivational Speaker

Please tell me that's not the best piece of advice you've ever heard.

She Kept Her Sassy Attitude

Even if it got a little bit dark.

She Got A Job As A Lawyer

Complete with a perfect lawyerly wardrobe.

She Still Keeps Things Totally Real

You think your life is tough? Try living in a three bedroom house with a dozen people!

She Keeps In Touch With Her (Many) Father Figures

Everywhere you look, there's another person to teach you a life lesson.
