There have been plenty of incredible stars on Lip Sync Battle, from John Krasinski vs. Anna Kendrick to Anne Hathaway vs. Emily Blunt, but the best is still yet to come if Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara have anything to say about it. The Hot Pursuit co-stars haven't signed up for the Spike TV show yet, but they combined forces for some pretty amazing Dub Smash videos on Instagram. Over the weekend, Witherspoon and Vergara "sang" Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift, putting unique spins on "Party in the U.S.A." and "I Knew You Were Trouble." But with these two, of course there was a twist, and you may fall over laughing from Vergara's new voices in the two tracks.
Even though this wasn't a competition, I have to wonder who would win out if they were put onstage together in Lip Sync Battle Season 2. Based on both of their previous singing and dancing experiences, there is a clear winner in the Witherspoon vs. Vergara fight, though with how fun their friendship is, they may just end up doing a duet for all of their songs and sharing the belt instead. And hey, when it's these two battling it out, everybody wins.
Round 1: Singing Talents
Witherspoon: In addition to playing June Carter Cash in Walk the Line, Witherspoon has a history of random singing in interviews and on talk shows, like when she had to sing made up Christmas Carols on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. She can think on her feet!
Vergara: She played Mama Morton in Chicago, sang random Christmas Carols — there's a theme here, guys — to her Modern Family co-stars, and even sang on her TV show.
Round 2: Dancing Skills
Witherspoon: As seen in the video above, she can dance it out like nobody's business and is super spontaneous. She would probably choreograph her routine on the spot.
Vergara: Even though Witherspoon is a champion solo dancer, Vergara can work it with a partner. She and Dancing With the Stars pro Derek Hough danced the night away at an Emmys party in the video above.
Round 3: Lip Sync Abilities
Witherspoon: As she sings Cyrus' hit song, she nods her head like "yeah" and shows butterflies flying away with her hands while lip-syncing perfectly.
Vergara: She only has one line, but she does it very well.
And The Winner Is...
Reese Witherspoon! Now let's make this lip sync battle happen for real, Spike.
