A lot can happen in nine months, just ask the mother of any newborn. Or you could ask Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder, whose whirlwind romance has taken the world by storm. Reed and Somerhalder were married on Sunday in a beautiful, simple ceremony in Santa Monica. After only nine months of dating, the couple tied the knot. This untraditional pair sure is keeping us on our toes, which leads me to the big questions about the newlyweds: where will Reed and Somerhalder honeymoon?

Let’s take a look at the facts. This couple isn’t afraid to take leaps of faith and go the unexpected route. Reed and Somerhalder clearly know what they want and aren’t afraid to go after it. They are also adventurous, as getting married after only nine months of dating isn’t for the faint hearted. Finally, this lovely couple also cares deeply about animals. In lieu of wedding gifts, Reed and Somerhalder requested that their guests donate to their favorite animal rescue charity.
