Celebrity Bridesmaid Dresses For Your Wedding

by Amy Roberts

If you're planning a wedding, you know that choosing the perfect bridesmaids' dresses is one of the most daunting tasks. Between choosing a style that all of your friends will look great in to finding something that they can hopefully wear again, it's almost enough to make you want to cancel the whole thing and just elope instead. If you're a little low on inspiration, celebrity bridesmaid dresses are a great place to start — even if you might not be able to afford an exact replica. After all, they're already our style muses in everyday life.

Take a tip from your favorite celebrities' fabulous nuptials and choose bridesmaids' dresses that are simple, universally flattering and effortlessly cool. Celebrities always seem to make their bridal parties look flawless in gorgeous colors and chic, laid back styles, and sometimes they even break the usual wedding rules to create a truly unique look.

Here are some of my personal favorite celebrity bridesmaids' dresses to give you a bit of inspiration for your wedding planning. Even if you don't exactly have a Kim Kardashian budget (or Kanye West to phone in last-minute alternations), you can still make your girls feel just as glamorous.

1. Pippa Middleton's White Stunner

Has a celebrity bridesmaid's dress ever garnered more attention than when Pippa Middleton wore this incredibly flattering white number to sister Kate's wedding to Prince William? This was certainly one to remember.

2. Solange's All White Bridal Party

Your mom might tell you not to wear white to a wedding, but Solange's entire bridal party did it and it looked insanely cool. Have your bridesmaids choose their own dresses in matching shades of stark white — just be sure to wear a bold red lip to make sure that you still stand out.

3. Lauren Conrad & Lo Bosworth Sparkle in Silver

Former Laguna Beachers Lauren Conrad and Lo Bosworth wore subtle silvery cream colored bridesmaids' dresses in a mutual friend's wedding last year. Some of the dresses were strapless while Lauren's had a simple strapless bodice, which is a classy, understated way to differentiate between your 'maids and your Maid of Honor.

4. Rihanna's Low-Cut Lilac

Rihanna looked stunning (and also pretty sexy) in a low-cut lilac number at her friend's gorgeous beach wedding. The rest of the bridal party wore various shades of purple, which created a cool, ombre effect. She also accessorized her feminine frock with a suspicious looking cigarette in her mouth, true to Bad Gal RiRi form.

5. Lady Gaga Looking Pretty in Purple

Lady Gaga looked much more traditional than usual in a light purple bridesmaid's dress at her best friend's wedding. The reverse tie around the neck makes this otherwise classic silhouette look fresh and exciting, which is definitely something to keep in mind when choosing your own bridesmaids' dresses.

6. Kim Kardashian's White Wedding Party

Like Solange, Kim K also chose an all-white theme for her nuptials to Kanye West. Her famous sisters wore more traditional white dresses, and if you kept up with Keeping Up With The Kardashians this past season, you know that there was some last-minute drama with the fit of the dresses. It all worked out in the end, however, and the end result made all of the bridesmaids look equally beautiful.

7. Cara Delevingne's Pantsuit

Listen, guys: If you want to make your bridal party look truly badass, skip the dresses altogether and go with a rocker chic pantsuit à la Cara Delevingne. The supermodel wore a bohemian Peter Dundas for Emilio Pucci women's suit to sister Poppy's Marrakech wedding to new hubby James Cook, and the white lace number perfectly fit the ceremony's eclectic vibe. Too cool.
