If you've been on royal baby watch and can't wait for Prince George to become a big brother, you aren't the only one. As excited as Kate Middleton and Prince William are for their second child, there's another family member who is just as ecstatic. That's right, Prince Charles is ready for his granddaughter — at least, that's what he's hoping his son's second child will be.
On Thursday, while chatting with a 100-year-old military veteran he said, "We're hoping for a granddaughter!" Who else is on board with Prince Charles? It seems that many assume Middleton will give birth to a baby girl, especially since all the "signs" are there, including the time she was spotted buying pink clothes or the reports that she was caught sampling pink paint.
Whether the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge actually welcome a daughter, one thing remains certain: Charles is ready to hold a baby girl in his arms. This isn't the first time he's let the world know his hopes for a girl. In 2014, Prince Charles said he wanted a granddaughter. Per People, Charles said, “I’m happy I’m going to be a grandfather again. I’m looking forward to it — but I hope it will be a girl this time.”
See? This man really wants William and Kate to give birth to a baby girl. Well, they better not let him down! All jokes aside, I'm sure Charles would be thrilled with a beautiful grandson as well. Either way, he's going to be a grandfather again, and what's better than that?
