If your heart isn't exploding right now, it's probably because you haven't seen the adorable pictures of Kate Middleton and Prince William exiting St. Mary's Hospital in west London, with the Duchess of Cambridge cradling her and Prince Williams' beautiful newborn baby girl. After going into labor on Saturday May 2, Middleton didn't wait long (or even a day) to make her first post-baby appearance, and Twitter has gone into an understandable frenzy, with users posting photos and sharing reactions, all with the trending hashtag: #RoyalBaby. While many of the tweets have been referencing just how unbelievably precious the Duke and Duchess's new princess looks swaddled and sleeping, others have shared awe over Middleton's glowing appearance. Nine hours of labor apparently didn't cause Middleton to shelve her title as a style icon, as she appeared on the steps of St. Mary's in a gorgeous yellow-and-white dress and heels — heels! There's no doubt about it: the Duchess of Cambridge is able to pull of a classy pair of pumps on any occasion.
Additionally, Middleton's hair and makeup were flawless (as per usual), but her best accessory was arguably her beaming, beautiful smile as she posed for photographers, notably overjoyed to introduce the royal family's newest bundle. Of course, Prince William looked quite dapper himself, but most of Twitter's reactions centered on Middleton and the new bundle of joy.
The fervor over the royal bundle couldn't have been more positive. While many users took time to share their elation, others couldn't resist infusing the trending topic with some lighthearted humor.
Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess!
