9 Reality Shows 'Bachelor' Alums Have Starred In

The cool thing about starring on The Bachelor is that it kind of makes you a celebrity, and everyone knows that celebs get to participate in super cool opportunities all the time. That's likely how these 12 Bachelor alums starred on other reality shows, because once a reality star, always a reality star. I'm not just talking about The Bachelor's own spin-off shows, either. Although, it's true that many former contestants have competed for money and love on Bachelor Pad and Bachelor In Paradise. There's even been a Bachelor version of Wipeout .

But beyond the scope of The Bachelor, there are many other reality shows to choose from and several Bachelor contestants have given other shows a shot. From ABC's sister show Dancing With the Stars (an obvious choice), to the bizarre Celebrity Paranormal Project, over the years Bachelor alums have tried out nine reality shows, some with great success and some ... not so much. But all of the attempts were entertaining.

If you're looking for some good Bachelor binge watching material, but you've already burned through all the seasons, give these shows a shot. It'll give you a dose of The Bachelor world while also being new and fresh.

Couples Therapy

Former Bachelor Juan Pablo and his girlfriend Nikki Ferrell tried to save their relationship by appearing on Season 5 of this therapy show. Needless to say, it didn't end up working out.

Married At First Sight

After The Bachelor and Bachelor Pad proved unsuccessful in finding Jamie Otis a partner, she gave TLC's Married At First Sight a try. On Season 1 of the show, she met her husband (on the day of their wedding) and has never looked back.

Marriage Boot Camp

Trista and Ryan Sutter have one of the longest lasting relationships to come off the show, but that wasn't achieved without some hard work. To keep their marriage strong, the pair participated on the 2014 season of this show, even though their marriage wasn't on the rocks. "I wanted to personally take the opportunity to show viewers that you don't have to be in a bad place to actually want to better your relationship and to want to get stronger and improve," Trista Sutter revealed.

Celebrity Paranormal Project

Andrew Firestone was the series' third Bachelor, and one of the first to go off and do another reality show. Celebrity Paranormal Project lasted for one season in 2007-2008, and consisted of sending celebs into "haunted" places to spend the night searching for paranormal activity. I don't know why the show was cancelled, because that sounds awesome.

Dancing With the Stars

This is one of the most popular shows for former Bachelor contestants to compete on. Over the years, Trista Sutter, Melissa Rycroft, Sean Lowe, Jake Pavelka, and Chris Soules have tried their hands at dancing. Rycroft even won on the all-star season.

Fear Factor

Ryan Sutter competed in the 2005 season of this survival show, and ended up the victor. He's two for two on winning reality shows, since he also won The Bachelorette.

Big Brother

Prince Lorenzo Borghese, the show's ninth Bachelor, appeared on the British celebrity edition of this reality show in 2012. Unfortunately he "was evicted from the house on Day 22 after receiving the lowest amount of viewer votes." Guess it didn't pay to be one of the most hated Bachelors.

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

From 2010 to 2011, the former Bachelorette Jillian Harris was a cast member on this reality show, which played right to her strengths as an interior designer.

Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off

Former Bachelor Jake Pavelka participated in Season 3 of this cooking challenge show. Unfortunately he didn't have the chops to stay around in the culinary industry, and was sent home the second week.
