What Will Kylie's Single With Kanye Sound Like?

by Emily Lackey

Another Kardashian sister is creating something with Kanye West that the world can't wait for, and it's not another adorable baby. The youngest of the Kardashian/Jenner clan, Kylie Jenner is reportedly making a single with Kanye West to launch her budding music career. I guess it's just one of the perks to having West in your family, along with partying like Louis the XIV, beautiful nieces, and starring in a couture runway shows.

Kanye West is best known for his rap career, but he is also the producer of hundreds of songs outside of the ones featured on his albums — including Jay Z and Beyoncé's "'03 Bonnie and Clyde" — and you can bet Jenner's first single will be just as hot. But what will the single sound like?

There aren't many samples of Jenner singing out there, but she did recently Snap Chat a clip of her voice while her friend, Pia Mia, mouthed the words. Then, they switched roles, and Jenner mouthed the words while Mia sang. While many think the clip of Kylie is also her voice, it's clear from the second video that the two are Dubsmashing each other. Either way, you can tell two things from these clips: 1) Jenner's voice is KILLER, and 2) She really gets into it.

Because her voice has such a soulful quality to it, I'm putting my money on the song being somewhat slow to showcase her sound. Maybe not a full-on ballad (you can't go full-on Whitney right out of the gate), but definitely not some auto-tuned dance track that allows her to talk-sing her way through it either. Even though that is what most people are probably anticipating, it's clear that this girl definitely doesn't need it.

The reality television star has been taking voice lessons for over a year, momager Kris Jenner said in a recent clip of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, but has been shy about showing off her skills. As the youngest sibling in a very public family, she openly admitted to feeling self-conscious since she was young. And I don't blame her. No matter how talented she is, she's going to be judged more than any other new singer because of the family she comes from.

I'm sure whatever Jenner does will be great, but I also hope she can pour her heart into whatever project she creates. (I'm sure working with a creative perfectionist like Kanye West will demand it.) Because, from one shy girl to another, sometimes you have to fake it 'til you make it. Put on a different persona, and Sasha Fierce the hell out of that song, girl. We all can't wait to hear it.
