Janet Jackson's New Song Teaser Is Badass

by Kenya Foy

Brace yourselves for more melodious music news: A snippet of a new Janet Jackson song called "No Sleeep" is available to listen to, and, judging by its lyrics, Jackson intends to bring sexy back (sorry, Justin Timberlake) with her new music. In the Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis-produced track, Jackson sings, “I’m lovin’ what you’re doing to me/ And I don’t wanna do without it/ Day and night/ I dream of us doing whatever/ But I guess I’ll have to wait/ Until that date comes.” Basically it sounds like she’s anxiously awaiting some alone time with that special someone, while I now can’t wait to have some one-on-one time with her 11th album Unbreakable. If this teaser is any indication of what's to come, it's going to be completely epic.

If you’re remotely familiar with Jackson’s music, then you know she’s not one to hold back when it comes to sexiness. At times, it can be difficult to decipher some of her lyrics — but I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s all a part of what makes her the queen of sonic seduction. Seriously, she’s one of those artists whose music always manages to pack a sexy punch, whether it’s a softly delivered ballad or an upbeat pop track that's only subtly sexy.

In honor of how Jackson always keeps it sultry, check out seven of her sexiest songs to date:

"Anytime, Anyplace"

So I'm about to go all Kanye West on this blurb by declaring that not only is this one of Jackson's most sexy songs, it's one of the sexiest songs of all time.

"That's The Way Love Goes"

Timeless and unbelievably sexy.

"You Want This"

This is an upbeat track, but don't be fooled by the tempo: Jackson imploring her would-be guy to call her name "just a little bit louder" and asking him, "You want this?/ Can you handle this?" is totally seductive. She didn't ask me, but NO Janet, I cannot handle this.

"Would You Mind"

Would you mind just listening to a song so steamy that it was banned by Singapore? If not, prepare to be overcome with er, emotion.

"Go Deep"

Based off the lyrics, "We go deep/ And we don't get no sleep/ 'Cause we be up all night/ Until the early light," it seems like "No Sleeep" might be a continuation of this track off Jackson's The Velvet Rope.

"Feedback"

This track incorporates an electro, futuristic spin, but still doesn't skimp on the sexiness of classic Jackson music with the lusty lyric, "Strum me like a guitar/ Blow out my amplifier/ When you hear some feedback/ Keep going take it higher." Yaaas. BRB, fanning myself.

"All For You"

Here's another upbeat banger from Jackson that scorches the ear with subtle sensuality. The lyrics help: "It's all for you if you make a move."

Thanks for letting us know, Jackson — but is it too much to ask you to make the next move by releasing your new album already?
