Mariah's Latest Instagrams Have Got Fans Talking

Is that Mariah Carey's new man? That seems to be the question on everyone's lips whenever the legendary singer steps out with James Packer, an Australian billionaire with whom she seems to have gotten quite cozy in the past few days. And the singer has not put forth much effort to halt the rumors. In fact, she's added fuel to the fire. Yes, Mariah Carey has posted photos with James Packer on Instagram. This is not a drill.

Now, it is worth noting that the "We Belong Together' performer did not caption the photo with "my man" or "my love," or (thank goodness) "bae." It is also worth mentioning that the rumored lovebirds are not the only ones in said photos, as they are group shots. Moreover, neither she nor he have officially confirmed that they are in fact dating, which naturally would seal the deal. But still. These pictures have to account for something. Considering Carey's famously huge ego and fantastic diva persona, it is hard to imagine just any guy making the cut to be a part of her Instagram feed. Plus, it has been speculated that Instagram posts are the new Facebook relationship status. Or something. Check out the photos below.

Considering that these photos look like fun, innocuous group shots not unlike the ones you take with your friends while out for dinner at the new Thai restaurant, it may not be enough to convince fans that they are actually dating. Just a few days ago, Carey and Packer were spotted holding hands together in Italy, according to Us Weekly. This is the first time Carey has been spotted on such a, well, let's call it a "getaway" with anyone since she reportedly filed for divorce from Nick Cannon back in January. And since that day, they have been spotted again and again in Italy, shopping at local businesses and hanging out at the beach, with Carey flaunting her signature cleavage-baring outfits. Sources say he is wooing her, and that she is in a pretty happy place right now.

The evidence is looking solid that they could potentially be a new item. It is safe to say that many fans and followers are putting two and two together now, especially since some are commenting about the news on Carey's Instagram page. Of course, we will have to wait to hear on the final word from them to be sure. Hopefully we won't have to sit around much longer for an answer!
