Who Is Sita Abellan? Rihanna's "BBHMM" Accomplice Is An Accomplished Model With A Unique Personal Style — VIDEO
Rihanna's going to raise more than one eyebrow with her explicit "Bitch Better Have My Money" video. As always, the good girl gone bad takes viewers on a wild ride, which in this case means kidnapping the wife of her accountant. But even someone as hardcore as Rihanna needs a little help in these types of situations, which is why she's backed by two henchwomen. I've got all of the details on one of Rihanna's accomplices, Sita Abellan, the fierce blonde who gives off major Joan Cusack vibes.
When she's not aiding RiRi's crime streak, Abellan is a model for Wilhelmina and also a DJ. (You can check out her music over on her SoundCloud.) According to Abellan's Facebook page, she also studied advertising at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan. Definitely a triple threat!
If her face looks familiar outside of the "Bitch Better Have My Money" video, that's probably because you've seen it before. Abellan's modeling work can be found everywhere, from Refinery 29 shoots to the pages of Nylon Mexico magazine. She also shares a ton of cool photos from the shoots over on her Instagram account. (Just a head's up before you check it out, some of the pics are NSFW, much like Rihanna's video.)
It takes someone with loads of confidence and flair to hold her own next to Rihanna, but likely, Abellan has both in spades. One look at her Instagram let's you know she has serious style, which was confirmed by a Paperboats profile on the model. The site describes her style as a mix of patent leather, fur, and "trashy sportswear." But the way she pulls it all off gives a modern '90s vibe.
"Together with attitude and styling this makes her an incredible inspiration," Paperboats says. "Her outfits are always just on the border off being too much, though she never looks dressed up or out of place."
One last note: She's totally grateful to appear in the edgy "BBHMM" video. She announced the news on her Instagram, writing, "so happy to announce I'm in the new video of Rihanna. thanks @badgalriri and all the team for this unique experience! I loved it and can't wait to see the results tonight."
You can see Abellan's work for yourself in the "Bitch Better Have My Money" video below. (Warning: It's pretty explicit.)
