Karlie Kloss Covers 'SELF' In A Monokini

by May Sofi

This summer has proven to be all about the one-piece swimsuits, with tons of celebrities from Candice Swanepoel to Rihanna swapping classic two-pieces for sexy monokinis. Now, Karlie Kloss covers the August issue of SELF in a unique cutout one piece bathing suit, proving unitards are totally replacing bikinis. Yes, the old school high-cut bodysuits are making a comeback, and it's time to embrace them.

The custom Proenza Schouler suit features strategically placed cutouts, and wide band, off the shoulder detailing, making it the coolest full-piece suit I have seen yet. The two tone charcoal gray and pink splattered designs emulate a retro vibe while still feeling fresh and modern at the same time. Leave it to Kloss to make it look high fashion, too. I'd never guess this was swimwear if no one told me. Slap on a black miniskirt and you've got a sultry, shoulder-baring party top.

The 22 year-old supermodel sports a barely there dewy makeup look, putting her gorgeous skin on display and keeping the rest of the look demure. Her sandy blonde locks are pulled back into a bun and appear a bit damp, making it look like she actually just took a dip in the pool, and obviously looking amazing.

Take a look at the stunning cover.

If you're totally digging the one-piece trend, here are some seriously awesome onesies to help you nail the look.
