How Did Khloe Feel About Caitlyn's 'VF' Cover?

by Martha Sorren

In the promo for the upcoming I Am Cait season, Caitlyn Jenner mentions that Khloe Kardashian was upset about Jenner's famous Vanity Fair cover. Jenner has been open about Khloe's struggle accepting this change, saying Khloe had the hardest time out of anyone in the Kardashian/Jenner clan when it came to Caitlyn's transition. During her Diane Sawyer interview, Jenner opened up about Khloe's reaction:

She’s had the toughest time with it, because she’s had a lot of losses in her life. She lost her father at a young age. He died suddenly — cancer. And Lamar had his issues. She feels like this massive, ‘my whole life’s falling apart. It’s my dad.’ And I’m trying to explain that I can’t argue that point, but I'm not going anywhere, I’m still going to be there for you.”

Then, on the Keeping Up With The Kardashians' special, we got to see firsthand how Khloe had a hard time with the quick pace of Jenner's transition. Although Caitlyn been undergoing the steps for years, to Khloe, it all seemed like it was happening so fast. "I don't care that you want to do it. I support you and I have always supported you, but I don't think it's fair that you don't tell us how close this is in the near future. We're still your kids," she told Caitlyn.

While it's obviously impossible to understand the complex emotions she must've been feeling throughout this process, I'm not sure why Khloe would have been upset about the Vanity Fair cover itself. It's possible she had a hard time with how fast it hit newsstands after Caitlyn told them all the truth. Whatever it was, I'm sure we'll find out on this season of I Am Cait. And, for what it's worth, it seems like she eventually came around to the Vanity Fair cover, posting a sweet message to Instagram in support of Caitlyn.

Whatever the two disagreed about at the time, it seems like fortunately it's all in the past. Like anything would break this family apart.
