Chrissy Teigen just gave a very comforting update about Kim Kardashian’s well-being amid the reality star’s divorce from rapper Kanye West. On Tuesday, April 20, the Cravings cookbook author appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, where she spoke openly about her reaction to the A-list couple’s unexpected split. “I know Kim gave her all for everything and it’s honestly a shame it didn’t work out because I saw them being a forever relationship,” the model said. “I really did, but I know she tried her best.”

Teigen, 35, added that she’s “definitely been in touch with Kim more than John [Legend] has been in touch with Kanye.” This, of course, could be due to their political differences; in recent years, Teigen and Legend vocally opposed Donald Trump while West showed ardent support for the former president. However, Teigen chalked up their lack of communication to West’s tendency to go off the radar. “If anyone knows Kanye it’s that he goes off the grid and it’s hard to ever contact him,” the former Lip Sync Battle host said. “But Kim is doing OK.”

Teigen, of course, isn’t the first person with inside knowledge of the situation to provide a much-needed update on Kim. On March 25, Kardashian family matriarch Kris Jenner told Ellen DeGeneres that the SKIMS founder has been “really busy” balancing her family and her many businesses with studying for law school. “Kim’s good,” the 65-year-old momager said. “She’s good. She’s really, really busy working on all of her different projects that she’s doing and I don’t know how she does it with all those grandbabies. She’s got a lot of energy, that kid.”

Jenner went on to say that she’s “so proud” of Kim for pursuing her goal of becoming a lawyer in the midst of such a difficult time in her life. “She’s so focused and she’s so, like, she’s just passionate about the whole thing and everything she stands for, and I see her studying,” the reality star said. “It’s in her schedule every single day, when I get all the schedules for the kids. Her study time is all blocked out, so nothing else can get in the way. I’m so proud of her.”

Although Kim seems to be holding up just fine, there are a few other family members that Kris is worried about. “I think it's always going to be hard any time ... you know, there’s a lot of kids,” she said during a March episode of The Kyle & Jackie O Show. Kim and Kanye share four kids together — North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 1 — and they are reportedly co-parenting successfully. In March, a Page Six source said that Kim “trusts him around the kids” and that “he loves them and is seeing a lot of them.” Last week, the rapper responded to Kardashian’s divorce filing, agreeing on joint legal and physical custody of their children.

While everything with the divorce appears to be moving forward smoothly, one thing is clear: The famous family is there for each other no matter what. “The good thing about our family is that we are there for each other and supportive and we love each other very, very much — so all I want is for those two kids to be happy,” Jenner continued in her interview from last month. “And I want the kids to be happy. That's the goal.”
