Forget about Hogwarts, Narnia, or Westeros. At the end of the day, if you like elves and upsetting road trips, there is only one fantasy series to rule them all, and that's The Lord of the Rings. Ever since The Hobbit was written in 1937, Tolkien has been synonymous with high fantasy. If you love the books, you don't need me to explain to you why they are, quite simply, one of the most brilliant works of literature ever put to paper. But, if you love Gandalf and Frodo and the rest, there are a few things you do need... like a Gollum-inspired thong. Here are a few Lord of the Rings themed items that every fan needs, to prove you're not an orc-loving fraud.

It's impossible to calculate the total impact that Tolkien's writing has had on the literary world, not to mention the worlds of film, TV, video games, comic books, and everything in between. With a book series as beloved and far-reaching as The Lord of the Rings, it can be hard to know where to start with all of the many Middle-Earth themed mug, magnets, and intimate apparel out there. Allow me to point you in the right direction with some highly necessary, hobbit-approved items:
