This 'Bachelor In Paradise' Moment Helped Raven & Adam Solidify Their Relationship
This year’s Bachelor In Paradise was whittled down to a few weeks due to a production shutdown, so I certainly wasn't expecting every couple on the show to get engaged after two weeks of filming. I know it’s The Bachelor, but come on, that would be way too soon. But even if couples aren’t getting engaged, they could be engaging in some other activities together. Did Raven and Adam have sex on Bachelor In Paradise? Their time in the Fantasy Suite is — and should remain — a mystery.
Bachelor In Paradise is weird to me because it’s a completely different show than either The Bachelor or The Bachelorette, but it keeps some of the same ceremonies as the original shows. Of course, there is a rose ceremony (how else would we know who goes and who stays?), but why, really is there a Fantasy Suite on Bachelor In Paradise? Anyone can date anyone on Bachelor In Paradise, and they’re all staying together under a series of Mexican roofs, so what makes the Fantasy Suite so special? Because it’s private? I guess so. I could rant and rave about why Bachelor In Paradise is strange for hours, but let’s get to what’s important here — Raven and Adam and their Bachelor In Paradise relationship.
Raven was sought after from the moment she touched down in Paradise. She’s beautiful, smart, and fun, so it makes sense that everyone would want a date with her. Raven’s first date was with Robby Hayes, and it was fine. Not amazing. Luckily, Adam Gottschalk, fresh off of Rachel’s season of The Bachelorette (he was the one who brought the weird doll), swept Raven off her feet during their salsa date, and they’ve been together ever since. In fact, the only drama Raven has had was getting into a fight with her friend Kristina. Other suitors may have been interested in Raven (and Sarah was briefly into Adam), but they only have eyes for each other.
Which brings us, reader, to the question — have Raven and Adam taken things to the next level? I dislike speculating on people having sex, because I don't think it's any of my business. Consenting adults can do as they please, even if they want to do in on national television. That's not my journey, but hey — it may be yours. But in terms of moving on in a relationship, I'm not sure that Raven was ready to move forward with things like Adam was at the end of Paradise. During their last date, Adam told Raven, "I can see myself falling in love with you and, um, I’ve never been this vulnerable and open with somebody. And the thought of having something beyond makes me feel some kind of way I’ve never felt before."
All Raven could muster up was, "I’m really happy you came. I’m really happy we’re here." In her voiceover, she said, "I feel like Adam’s the type of guy that wouldn’t hurt me like I’ve been hurt in the past, but I’m skeptical. I just don’t know what to think." And there it is — Raven is afraid of getting her heart stomped on again. She's already had her Fantasy Suite moment with Nick Viall and it didn't work out, so why hurt herself again? She wants to be sure, and I totally get that. Though Raven likes Adam, she's just moving at a slower pace, and that's just fine. Even if they just talked in the fantasy suite, that's up to them. Whatever it was, it worked — because they're still going strong, and that's great.
