How Much Is Urban Decay's New Naked Heat Palette?

by Alexa Tucker

Big news caught the attention of makeup lovers everywhere today, and it's about to be one of the hottest beauty launches of the summer — literally. Announced on the brand's Instagram, the Urban Decay Naked Heat eyeshadow palette is giving all other Naked palettes a run for their money. Speaking of which, how much is the Urban Decay Naked Heat palette?

At $54, it's exactly on par with the original Naked palette, Naked2, Naked3, and Naked Smoky. And with 12 pans included, I've always thought that was pretty reasonable, especially considering how many looks you can create with just one palette.

Just like the rose-gold hues in Naked3 and the sultry shades in Naked Smoky, there's a color theme in Naked Heat. It's all about "amber-hued neutrals – including warm browns, burnt oranges and rich siennas," according to the Instagram announcement.

And just in time for summer, too. Fiery copper eyeshadow looks are trending, and they're just as sultry as an ice-cold charcoal eye in the winter. An orange-inspired eye makeup look gives off bold, tropical vibes and pairs well with dewy skin for that red-hot summer look. (Which is good news for anyone who, you know, sweats when it's hot and humid outside.)

According to UD representatives, a limited number of palettes will be available to Beauty Junkies on Urban Decay's website on June 12, and they'll be re-released to the rest of us on June 30.

Here's another inside look at the scorching hues — the second photo in this 'gram shows all of the swatches on different skin tones.

As Allure points out, this is the first Naked palette in two years. Excited yet?
