You Won't Want To Miss This 'Carpool Karaoke' Special
If you were one of the 4.2 million viewers impressed with James Corden's Emmy Award-winning Carpool Karaoke Primetime Special in 2016, it sounds like you're in for quite a treat. That's because Corden's 2017 Carpool Karaoke Primetime Special is shaping up to be better than ever with the help of a few special guests, according to Entertainment Weekly.
That's right — Corden will be singing his little heart out with Katy Perry in the passenger seat on May 22. Plus, J. Lo will dust off her dancing shoes for a very interesting performance sesh. As a Carpool Karaoke stan, I can't stress enough how awesome the upcoming special is bound to be. Without question, The Late Late Show host won 2016, and he has the footage to prove it. Not only did he successfully convince Michelle Obama to ride shotgun in his whip, Corden also shut down the internet with his Mannequin Challenge featuring Victoria Beckham. And we can't forget the time he got Blue Ivy to make a rare cameo in his 2017 Grammy segment.
The Late Late Show announced special guest Katy Perry in a tweet on May 3. And according to her own Twitter account, the "Bon Apetit" singer couldn't be happier about her upcoming Carpool Karaoke appearance.
And, I'm absolutely living for a J. Lo return. A year ago, the singer and Shades of Blue star took us all the way back to her "Love Don't Cost a Thing" days. Oh, and remember when she let Corden text Leonardo DiCaprio from her personal cell? It singlehandedly made for the most nerve-wrecking moment in Carpool Karaoke history, but I loved every bit of it.
This time around, Jenny From the Block will be joining Corden for a Toddlerography dance lesson, according to Entertainment Weekly, and it sounds like it's going to be a complete blast.
Needless to say, I'll be in front of my TV screen at 10 p.m. on May 22 to catch this awesomeness. Between Katy Perry belting some of all-time favorite hits and J Lo serving up some awesome dance moves, the 2017 Carpool Karaoke Primetime Special isn't one to miss.
