You Need To Watch Lindsay Lohan Renact Classic 'Mean Girls' Quotes In A Hilarious Video

by Parry Ernsberger

On Monday, Feb. 5, W Magazine blessed us all with a short video of Lindsay Lohan reciting her favorite Mean Girls quotes, and the whole thing is totally "grool" — oops, I mean, "cool." I meant to say "cool," and then I started to say "great." It's been nearly 14 years since the now-classic, 2000s-era, Tina Fey-penned teen comedy was first released, but Lohan slips back into the role of new girl-turned-Queen-Bee, Cady Heron, with ease. Well, relative ease, at least. The actor appears positively giddy from the start, giggling through repeated attempts at quoting her favorite lines, which stem from several different characters. It's pretty darn endearing.

In the video, shot against a pale pink background — because "on Wednesdays we wear pink," obviously — the actor looks fresh-faced and stylish in a navy, off-the-shoulder structured blazer top. (Oh, and, for the record, "on Wednesdays we wear pink" — which Lohan recites with a sly wink — comes in at No. 4 on her list of favorite quotes.) She legitimately can't stop goofing as she laughs through the rest of the list, which includes "The limit does not exist!" at No. 8 (from the Mathletes state championship), and "That is the ugliest eff-ing skirt I've ever seen" at No. 6 (classic Regina George).

The best moments of the video, though, are when Lohan stops to make side comments about her favorite lines. Like No. 7, for example: "We only carry sizes 1, 3, and 5, so, better off trying Sears?" Looking off-camera to refute the modern day relevancy of the age-old department store, Lohan laughs, mutters "So mean!" and asks, "Can we say something other than 'Sears'? What's funnier?" Unfortunately, according to an on-set voice from beyond, that's how Tina Fey wrote it, and thus how it must be said. "Damn you, Tina Fey!" Lohan jokes, which instantly causes the behind-the-scenes crew to crack up.

Lohan has long-been been a vocal proponent of the potential for a Mean Girls sequel, so, People In Charge of Making That Happen (ahem, Lorne Michaels, Tina Fey, etc.) — please take note: Cady Heron is alive and well. In December 2016, the actor told CNN that she had "already written a treatment" for a Mean Girls 2 movie, but was waiting to get word from the aforementioned People In Charge of Making That Happen. Lohan confessed,

“I have been trying so hard to do a Mean Girls 2. It is not in my hands. I know that Tina Fey, and Lorne Michaels and all of Paramount [Pictures] are very busy. But I will keep forcing it and pushing it on them until we do it."

The 31-year-old actor continued to wax poetic about her desire for a Mean Girls reunion, excitedly telling E! News in Dec. 2017, "We had so much fun making [Mean Girls]. Mark Waters is such a great director, Tina Fey is an amazing writer, Paramount was great to work with — we all had a blast." Lohan also stressed the importance of one original cast member, in particular: "We need Rachel McAdams!" she said before adding, "We need the whole cast back!"

And just in case the People In Charge of Making That Happen still weren't aware of her campaign, during a Jan. 2018 appearance on The Wendy Williams Show, Lohan admitted that she's legitimately doing the most to see the reunion through —  including lightly bugging the film's original writers. "Oh yeah. I go to SNL when I'm in town," she joked. "I go to [Chuck] Lorre and run to Steve Higgins."

Of course, pushing for a Mean Girls sequel isn't the only thing Lohan's got going on these days. In the interview that accompanies her video for W Magazine, Lohan revealed that she'll be putting out her own beauty brand within the next few months, and is in the process of designing a clothing line, as well. So, congratulations, Lindsay! Both of those things sound super exciting, but please never forget the most important task at hand — and for everyone else out there, never stop trying to make "fetch" happen. It'll happen.
