Millie Bobby Brown Is Slaying In CK's New Campaign
IMO, Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown is probably going to rule the universe someday. Calvin Klein has obviously recognized this, because the brand cast Brown as one of the faces of its new By Appointment line — and though we only get one snap of her, Brown's Calvin Klein campaign shot is everything.
2016 was Brown's breakout year, and it was jam-packed full of awesome. In addition to winning our hearts as Stranger Things' tenacious yet wary young Eleven, the 12-year-old starlet firmly established herself as a dazzler on red carpets, covered the winter 2016 edition of Dazed, and proved she is a ridiculously good rapper.
It was only a matter of time before a brand tapped her, and now the perfect pair-up has happened. On Jan. 22, Brown shared news of the campaign on her Instagram, saying, "I am so honored to be a part of this."
By Appointment is the first post-Raf Simons takeover collection from CK, and it's a bespoke line comprised of 14 different styles which CK's website says will be "handcrafted and made to measure in NYC."
And Brown isn't the only model. According to a tweet from the brand, the By Appointment series will have "[a] cast of distinct individuals [to bring] the idea to life: Whether famous or unknown, all are treated equally."
Eliminating the lines between celeb and layperson is core concept of the By Appointment collection. On By Appointment's sparse webpage, CK says it's "[a] different departure for Calvin Klein: No longer solely for celebrities, rather an open made-to-measure service."
Models starring in the photos released on Jan. 22 include Brown, Selena Forrest, Lineisy Montero, Natalie Westling, Abbey Lee, Kiki Willems, and Tessa Bruinsma.
While all the models are all slaying, Brown has obviously brought the intensity that made her a standout in Stranger Things. Like she's done with literally everything else she has worn before, she elevates this CK look to a whole other level, and fans can't wait to see what's next.
Raf Simons' first CK show will debut Feb. 10 at New York Fashion Week, and will hopefully give us a look at the full scope of what By Appointment has in store. Until then, just gaze upon this image of Brown whenever you need tough-girl motivation.
