Misty Copeland Is The New Face Of Estee Lauder's Modern Muse Fragrance

Even if you can't dance like a professional ballerina, now you can at least smell like one (in a good way). Dancer Misty Copeland is the newest face of Estée Lauder's Modern Muse fragrance, and there's no doubt that she's a modern muse herself, indeed.

"The journey I've been on is my own. I've pushed boundaries, challenged the status quo. I can only hope that my life inspires other women to change the world in their own way," Copeland says in her first ad for Modern Muse.

The tagline is "be an inspiration," which couldn't be a more apt theme for Copeland — as the American Ballet Theatre's first-ever African American female principal dancer, Copeland's no stranger to inspiring girls everywhere to fearlessly chase their dreams.

Copeland joins Kendall Jenner as a spokesperson for Estée Lauder. She's also a face of Under Armour, and while her partnership with the sports brand hasn't always been quite as rosy, her history with the brand actually captures her message perfectly. As ELLE points out, back in February, she expressed her disapproval of the Under Armour CEO's support of Donald Trump on Instagram, living out her mission to stand for diversity and opportunity.

Her new off-stage gig with Estée Lauder is another chance for the world to take in her incredible talent and fierce willpower — according to ELLE, you'll see the ads pop up online, on TV, in magazines, and more starting this month.

For an extra boost, Copeland even says she applies the perfume before every performance — so if it helps you channel your own inner ballerina, a spritz or two can't hurt.

And while that's probably not the secret to her ability to dance like this, there's no harm in trying, right?
