This Is How Things Ended For Vanessa On 'The Bach'

Fourth time was truly the charm for Nick Viall who proposed to Vanessa during The Bachelor finale. After narrowing 30 women down to just two, Nick made the decision to send Raven home and get down on one knee with a sparkler for Vanessa. And, she said yes! It can't have been easy to have been turned down twice on The Bachelorette after making it to the final two, so I can't imagine how happy Nick is to have finally found his fiancée. Sure, it took four tries on television to do so, but all's well that ends well, right?

During Monday's dramatic (Chris Harrison's words) finale, Nick hemmed and hawed about his final two women before coming to the conclusion that special education teacher Vanessa was the one who truly captured his heart. He proposed in Finland with a picturesque backdrop and a shiny Neil Lane diamond, telling Vanessa she was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with — and she felt the same way.

As a fan who's been with Nick since the beginning, it's exciting to see him finally find love and prove that it can be done, you sometimes just need to work a little harder than the average contestant. Now that the proposal is over, the real work begins: staying together. It's not always easy to take televised love into the real world, but I feel confident in saying that Nick and Vanessa will put the time in to make sure they stick it out. And, if they don't make it, well... there's always a fifth time for TV romance.
