You'll Swoon Over Peter's New "Bae" Without The Slightest Bit Of Jealousy
It'll probably be a while before any members of #TeamPeter can fully get over Arie Luyendyk Jr. being named the newest Bachelor over The Bachelorette's Season 13 runner-up. While he won't get another shot at finding love in the Bachelor mansion just yet, judging by Peter Kraus' latest photo with his dog on Instagram, the former Bachelorette contestant appears to be doing just fine during his time out of the spotlight.
Peter took to the app on Friday night to post a sweet photo of himself cuddled up on the couch with his dog, Daisy. The caption reads,
"Friday nights with Bae:) she makes my heart smile brighter than the Xmas tree that I’m going to totally procrastinate on taking down for the next two to six weeks."
Same, Peter. Same. In the midst of the holiday season, it sure would be nice to have someone special to spend Friday nights with, but nowhere does it say that that "someone" can't be a pet. To be honest, Peter has the right idea here, and if the company of his dog is making him happier than having a mansion full of Bachelor contestants fighting for his attention, then so be it.
Peter's relationship with Daisy is a special one, and his photo from Friday night certainly doesn't mark the first time he's shown fans just how much they both mean to each other. Back in October, he posted an adorable (but also just a little bit sad) pic of the sweet pup pretty much doing what every dog does when they don't want their owners to leave.
He also dedicated a photo post to Daisy on National Dog Day back in August, and it was sweet enough to bring even the toughest souls to tears. His caption read, "Happy National Dog Day to my best friend, side kick, and snuggle buddy. Love you with all of my heart, Daisy! Can't wait to grow old with you:) #babygirl#dogday."
And if that doesn't warm your heart enough already, the 31-year-old also regularly shares photos of himself hanging out with Daisy in a series that he's cleverly dubbed "Lazy SunDais."
But "Lazy Satur-Dais" also exist, because cuddling on the couch with your dog obviously isn't something that should be limited to just one day of the week.
Peter's love for Daisy runs deep, and there's definitely nothing wrong with that when you consider the fact that he'll never have to worry about Daisy not giving him her final rose. And since he's referring to Daisy as his "bae," it's probably safe to assume that Peter is still on the market, ladies. That's good news for anyone hoping that ABC will give him another shot at being one of the future Bachelors.
A month or so after the season finale aired, Peter posted a heartfelt message to his fans and Bachelor Nation on Instagram, thanking ABC for the opportunity and noting how much he grew throughout the show's process. He wrote,
"Upon leaving the @bacheloretteabc I was asked, 'what did you learn about yourself during this process?' And at the time I naively said 'nothing that I can think of.' Now... looking back... I realize I learned one of the single greatest teachings of my life;
When you let uncertainty or fear guide your decisions, you risk missing out on what could potentially be the greatest opportunity of a life time. So live dangerously, live without the fear of the unknown, and continue to live and love with a heart that is truly open to anything. #thankyou#lovealways."
His message alludes to the fact that he didn't put his all into vying for Rachel Lindsay's heart during his season, and that he's now ready to let go of the fear that held him back.
Peter is definitely in the right frame of mind to be the next Bachelor, but it looks like fans will have to wait a while to see whether or not he'll be given a second chance to find love within the franchise. Until then, at least there will always be these adorable photos of Daisy.
