Happy hump day, everyone! Hopefully your week hasn't been too crazy, and you've been able to enjoy the hints of summer these first few days of May have brought. It's almost like winter might actually be behind us — fingers crossed.

Donald Trump + Trans Americans

In disturbing news, the Trump administration has blocked Obamacare's nondiscrimination provisions, which provide protection for trans Americans and health care programs providing abortion services. This is a huge blow, if not a surprising one considering the administration's general policies and behavior regarding reproductive rights and trans rights.

The Women's March + Their Next Action

To end the 10 Actions/100 Days campaign, the Women's March has announced their final plan, The Pledge of Liberation. This action is a "declaration of allegiance" to one another, and in addition to social media awareness, there'll be marches and protests at congressional offices on May 8. R.I.P.: Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher's headstone has been unveiled, and it's a beautiful tribute to the late mother and daughter.

The Defenders + A New Trailer

Marvel fans, get ready: The Defenders is almost here, and the new trailer will make you even more excited for Netflix's upcoming superhero show. Jessica Jones, Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist are all on-board, and the series, out in August, is set to be absolute must-see TV.

Save The Date: Another big trailer, that for The Dark Tower, dropped on Wednesday, and Stephen King fans will want to keep Aug. 4 free in their calendars.
